10月31日（日）の衆議院選挙に向けて、「選挙にまつわる英語表現」を
勉強してみましょう。

選挙=election　※elect（投票で誰かを選ぶ）という動詞の名詞形
衆議院議員総選挙　
Lower House election、House of Representatives election
参考（参議院　the Upper house、the House of Councillors）
英語表現：10月31日（日）に選挙が行われます。
例）The election will be held on Sunday, October 31.

投票=vote ※動詞なら、投票する。名詞なら票、または投票数。
英語表現:日曜日に両親と私は投票に行きます。
例）My parents and I will go to vote this Sunday.

期日前投票=early（advance）voting, vote before Election Day
英語表現:昨日、私は期日前投票に行きました。
例1）I went early（advance）voting yesterday.
例2）I went to vote before Election Day yesterday.
